Here’s my little paladin named Thome, I say little because he’s only a few inches tall, but his heart is there.
Thome was not the inspiration for A Fire between Two Lights, rather it was the other way around. I was working on the story when I got WoW and since I was going to be playing as a paladin, I figured why not be the Paladin named Thome?
I no longer play, but I have decided to keep this page and Thome’s memory alive. I used to play on the Proudmoore server where I killed many things, big things whenever possible.
I’ve created a short comic using a few screen shots and my graphic design skills (IE: Photoshop and Illustrator) just click on the paladin to see it.

I maxed out Thome’s level at 60, but found raids not much to my liking. Also sicne I was a paladin everyone assumed that I was collecting the Lightforge Armor set, the class set everyone seems to have deemed ‘paladin’. Mind you, the way my particular character was specked the Lightforge Armor would have been detrimental to my character. Also it made me look like a twit.
Thome the Paladin says: “Valor = good; Lightforge = bad.”
Factor in my calculations that I would need approximately 960 hours or 40 days of game play to obtain the epic armor set (the Lawbringer armor, which was down right impressive), I reached the conclusion that there was nothing left for me in World of Warcraft besides months of treadmill-like game play.
