Kanji

Kanji

Kanji is the art of Japanese calligraphy (though the characters are Chinese. from what I understand they were stolen from china by Ninja's some time ago) Mind you I don’t actually know very much about it, but for me its simply artwork. I like kanji, but like most things it’s something I’m not very good at.
Fortunately like most things I’m bad at, I am able to compensate for my lack of skill with the computer. The Kanji you see all over this web sight was created using a program called Adobe Illustrator, which is a convenient tool I use for pretty much everything. The basic shapes you see were created in illustrator, then special effects were added with Photoshop.

It’s basically a suit of programs. 3D Studio Max, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop are the main peaces. Between those three I created the cover for The Path to Ascension.

I’ve been doing a lot of work with the infinity symbol lately, primarily because it looks cool. This particular composition has to do with a concept I’ve been thinking of: Saratoga Infinity. Now as you know, the Saratoga was Hunter’s ship, and it’s got a lot of neat toys on it. It’s also somewhat known for its time-travel escapades.
The kanji in the upper left hand corner means “Fighting Spirit”. The symbols in the middle right above the infinity symbol are the kanji for “Ultimate Victory” (I think) and the character on the far right is the Samurai character. Of course, the symbols along the bottom are heaven, ocean, earth, and heaven. Saratoga Forever!
